  14. At the University of Texas at San Antonio, we are working on a new
  15. Macintosh Icon that is to include the graphics and user interface
  16. functions that are already available for Icon under X Window and OS/2.
  17. We also have a Microsoft Windows/NT effort underway.  The Mac project
  18. will be based on the next version of Icon still in development, and is
  19. being built using Think C on a Mac LC 475 running System 7.1.
  20.  
  21. Porting Icon's graphics facilities to the Mac will be non-trivial, and
  22. its too early to tell how the project will turn out.  Funded development
  23. is taking place between now and the end of this summer, so by the end
  24. of summer we should be able to report the results to the Icon group.
